H-Sphere requires bind version 8.x. If you have bind version 9.x, you need to perform a downgrade. To go down to bind 8:

1. Back up your /etc/named.conf file.
2. Uninstall the bind9 RPMs.
3. install the latest bind8.
4. place /etc/named.conf back.
5. change owner of the /hsphere/local/var/named directory:
   # /chown -R named:named /hsphere/local/var/named
6. restart your named daemon:
   # /etc/rc.d/init.d/named restart (Linux)
